Are you looking to add a professional touch to your reports created with Looker Studio? One way to enhance the visual appeal of your reports is by displaying a logo. In this blog post, we will guide you through the process of adding a logo to your Looker Studio reports, step by step.
How to add a logo
Why should you display a logo on your reports?
Adding a logo to your reports can help establish brand consistency and make your reports easily recognizable. It also adds a touch of professionalism and credibility to your work. Whether you are creating reports for internal or external use, displaying a logo can leave a lasting impression on your audience.
Step 1: Prepare your logo
Before you can display a logo on your Looker Studio reports, you need to make sure you have a high-quality version of your logo available. Ideally, the logo should be in a vector format such as SVG or EPS, as these formats are scalable and maintain their quality at any size.
Step 2: Upload your logo to Looker
Once you have your logo ready, log in to Looker Studio and select "Upload from computer"
Select a logo. The logo will then be displayed.
Step 3: Adjust the logo placement and style
The displayed logo can be moved and resized by drag-and-drop.The SETUP menu allows you to place a link to your logo, and the STYLE menu allows you to design the background and border.
How to add and change a text
How to add text
You can create a new text box by clicking on the text symbol at the top. Place the box anywhere you like and enter your text.
Changing text in a table
Text in tables can also be freely changed. First, select the table or part whose text you want to change. Then the SETUP menu will appear on the right side.
This time, change the Event name to another name. First, click on the symbol to the left of Event name.
A text input area will then open, so enter any text you wish. The displayed text will then change. Similarly, another metric can be changed.
How to change background and graph colors
The text was changed from the SETUP menu, but color changes, etc., are done from the STYLE menu. Let's try changing the background of the table and the color of the graph.
For example, if you want to change the background color, select a color from Background and change it
You can also change the border radius, border color, and thickness in the same block.
How to change table type
Looker Studio offers many Chart types. New Chart types are being added all the time. Try and select the best Chart for your data.
The type of chart can be changed from the menu on the right.
When I selected the pie chart as a test, it was reflected in the table.
In this way, you can easily create reports with a high degree of freedom by changing the type of chart and customizing the style.
How to add Dimension and Metric
From here, we will explain how to change not only the appearance but also the actual data to be displayed.
Select the table to which you want to add data, and in the same way you can select data from the Dimension and Metric menus in the SETUP menu on the right. Let's add Page Path to Dimension and Session to Metric.
